DarbeeVision™ is a boon to the rapidly growing world of digital intermediate. DVn™ allows filmmakers to rest assured that going to digital will give them the best image quality possible. Digital Intermediate is a rapidly changing field, that is entirely reliant on rapidly evolving technology. One of the constant concerns that filmmakers have about going to digital media is the loss of film quality in their images. There is no need to worry with DVn as part of the workflow. DVn can be applied at any point in the Digital Intermediate process, but the earlier it is applied the greater the benefits. First of all, any enhancement that comes from the DVn process will not be muddled, or lost as other processes are applied to the film. Secondly, we have found through extensive testing that our process can 'do more' if it is applied before any of the other default sharpening, or image control tools are used for film out. The DVn will draw out and enhance those tools, and therefore reveal digital artifacting that may be hidden normally. Finally, there is the added benefit that using DVn early on will give you the best quality image to use throughout Digital Intermediate, requiring less tools to improve the image later on. If you apply DVn to an image before timing begins, you will have a sharp, clear, rich, and deep image to build upon. DVn saves time, gives you the best image quality possible and guarantees that you will not lose fidelity from using Digital Intermediate. The benefits mentioned thus far are all sweet side effects to the DVn process. The number one reason to use DVn is that it makes your image look the best it can. With DVn your beautiful images will be presented to audiences in such a way that they will be drawn right into the story. The audience will see the image in a more realistic, visceral way then you ever thought possible. |
